Allow me to introduce you to Lenawee Emergency and Affordable Housing Corporation (LEAHC), located right here in Adrian, Michigan, next to Frosty Boy. Even though LEAHC was founded back in 1990, it seems that it is still one of Lenawee County’s best kept secrets.

According to United Way of America, 51 United Way’s reported having formalized Young Leaders programs in 2004-05. A Young Leader is defined as being under the age of 35 and as having enthusiasm about non-profit agencies and charitable giving.

FamilyWize program popular among county residents
The FamilyWize drug discount program sponsored by Lenawee United Way is gaining ground in Lenawee County. Since the program began in the summer of 2006, nearly 1245 people have saved almost $40,000 using the discount cards.

ADRIAN--Former County Administrator Bill Bacon was remembered as an extraordinary public servant by friends and colleagues after his death Dec. 3, 2007. The 54-year-old Bacon also was dedicated to serving the less fortunate through his long-time commitment to Lenawee United Way.
